Job Title: Pipe Fitter

Join RK Mechanical as a skilled Pipe Fitter and contribute to the success of our team. As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for operating trade-specific machinery and tools, reading and interpreting blueprints, and creating equipment and products with precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate trade-specific machinery and tools, including calipers, weld gauges, and tape measures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings to create equipment and products.
  • Identify product defects and communicate effectively with project foremen.
  • Work closely with other fabricators, welders, and laborers to improve skills and provide training.
  • Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods.
  • Assist shop foremen or superintendents with production tracking and ensuring production goals are met.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience, with 3 years of welding experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with welding on a rotator and fitting up with a rotator in mind.
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques, including MIG and ARC welding processes.
  • Familiarity with TIG a plus.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and manual and mechanical welding techniques.
  • Ability to pass 6G FCAW weld test and 6G GMAW weld test within one week of hire.
