Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Limited Radiographer to join our team at Great Plains Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing specialized radiographic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and record patient history and reason for examination, interpreting information to evaluate appropriateness of examination ordered.
  • Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards of care, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Operate equipment in compliance with manufacturing specifications, selecting proper technical factors based on patient body habitus, pathology, age, and physical abilities and limitations.
  • Provide radiation protection for patients and fellow employees, demonstrating knowledge of age-specific issues related to radiation protection.
  • Prepare completed images for reading by interpreting physician, demonstrating competency in using all software applications necessary in the completion of the examination.
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent required; Associates Degree or Limited Scope Radiographer post-secondary program preferred.
  • Current State of NE Limited Radiographer license required; Limited Radiographer certificate from the Limited Scope Radiographer Program preferred.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk frequently; bend, stoop, and crouch frequently; lift up to 50 pounds waist to shoulder height frequently.
