Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Batavia, Illinois. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Operate angiographic and ultrasound equipment to perform a range of procedures, including basic to advanced imaging applications.
- Assist with interventional and surgical procedures as a scrub assistant, working closely with attending and resident physicians.
- Monitor patients and alert staff to life-threatening changes in patient status, applying the defibrillator and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required.
- Identify and process images, ensuring they are of diagnostic quality, and assist clinical engineering staff in evaluating digital equipment to maintain consistent image quality.
- Compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure ordered exam accuracy, and post-process images as directed.
- Maintain records in accordance with various regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
- Radiographer license issued by the state.
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), to be obtained within 6 months.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), to be obtained within 6 months, unless department leader has determined it is not required.
