Position Summary:

The Culinary Services Associate is responsible for receiving, verifying, and storing food and non-food deliveries. This role involves maintaining cleanliness in refrigerated areas, freezers, and storage facilities, as well as assisting with inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of shelves, walls, and floors in refrigerated and storage areas.
  • Sanitize kitchen floors to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Wash and maintain kitchen utensils, pots, and pans.
  • Properly dispose of packaging materials from received goods.
  • Manage waste disposal and ensure trash receptacles are sanitized.
  • Verify deliveries for accuracy, checking for damaged items and shortages.
  • Utilize FIFO (First In/First Out) method for storing items; date perishable goods appropriately.
  • Fulfill daily supply requisitions.
  • Assist in conducting inventory counts.
  • Adhere to regulatory standards and maintain established departmental policies, including those related to infection control and safety.
  • Strive for excellence in service as outlined in our CARE Commitments.
  • Respond appropriately to codes as required.
  • Uphold integrity in all professional matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Safeguard the privacy and security of all confidential health information, using only necessary data to perform job functions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least six months of experience in food service, warehouse operations, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established protocols effectively.
  • Exposure to various environmental factors such as heat, moisture, noise, and cleaning solutions.
  • Willingness to handle physical tasks, including heavy lifting and potential exposure to cuts and burns.
