Program Director, Immigrant Rights Leader

The Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund is seeking a visionary Program Director to lead its efforts in securing equal rights and opportunities for immigrants. This is a pivotal moment for immigrant rights, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to build on the Fund's past accomplishments and shape a bold new vision for the program.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Grantmaking and Partnership: Provide thought leadership, build alliances, and develop strategic partnerships to advance the immigrant rights movement.
- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement the Fund's Immigrant Rights priorities, identify levers for impact, and direct grantmaking efforts.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Play a key role in fundraising, attracting other funders, and collaborating with foundations and partners to develop initiatives and leverage resources.
- Grant Management and Evaluation: Manage the immigration grants portfolio, including due diligence, financial reviews, site visits, and evaluation.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise staff assigned to support and advance the Fund's immigration program.
- Strategic Initiative and Policy & Advocacy Experience: A demonstrated track record of success in moving strategic policy or project initiatives from vision to impact in partnership with community leaders.
- Immigrant Rights Experience: A deep understanding of the immigrant experience, appreciation of immigrants, and a track record of working with diverse immigrant and low-income communities.
- Relationship Building and Communication Skills: Excellent writing, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to build good working relationships across a diverse team.
- Passion for the Mission and Values: A deep commitment to advancing equality and justice for all, while professionally representing the Haas family and the Fund.
