Position Overview
Schneider Electric GIS is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as a Senior GIS Quality Assurance Engineer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle to guarantee high quality, including requirements gathering, case writing, iterative testing, and final release.
  • Conduct compatibility assessments of software with various programs, hardware, operating systems, and network environments.
  • Test system modifications in preparation for deployment.
  • Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness, thereby minimizing risks.
  • Manage software defects and usability issues by identifying, analyzing, and documenting problems related to program functionality, output, online interfaces, and content.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to developers regarding software usability and functionality.
  • Update automated test scripts to maintain accuracy.
  • Identify deviations from standards and propose modifications to ensure compliance.
  • Perform testing in alignment with established software engineering methodologies, including Agile Scrum and Continuous Integration.
  • Document testing procedures to ensure replicability and adherence to standards.
  • Plan testing schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery timelines.
  • Assist in maintaining a suite of test scripts for the automation system, including Smoke Tests, Build/Release acceptance tests, and performance and scalability assessments.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 3-5 years of progressive experience in quality assurance for enterprise or GIS applications.

Essential Experience
  • Ability to interpret requirements and translate them into effective test plans.
  • Experience in manual testing of Windows UI, web service APIs, and/or mobile applications across diverse environments.
  • Proficiency in setting up, maintaining, and operating test environments and systems.
  • Experience in executing performance testing for various scenarios, including scale, response time, capacity, and throughput.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS or similar GIS software and its tools.
