{"Responsibilities": "Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert lactation care and education to breastfeeding mothers and infants.
  • Act as a clinical resource and educator on lactation-related issues.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ lactation goals and issues.
  • Instruct and demonstrate proper breastfeeding techniques and promote the importance of breastfeeding.
  • Identify the need for standard patient teaching plans and assist with their development.
  • Liaise with staff and physicians to address breastfeeding-related needs.
  • Contribute to the development of data tools to monitor and improve lactation outcomes.


Requirements:
  • Certification specializing in Lactation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate’s degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
