DEPARTMENT: Industrial Sales
POSITION SUMMARY: The Industrial Battery Maintenance Specialist is integral to the sales team within the Industrial Division. This role is responsible for assessing, testing, and maintaining batteries, chargers, and associated equipment. The position encompasses both field service and workshop responsibilities, along with inventory management tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair industrial battery systems and charging units.
- Conduct routine maintenance on client battery and charger systems.
- Oversee the upkeep of service vehicles and manage inventory levels.
- Complete necessary documentation following each service task.
- Manage warehouse stock and prepare orders for clients.
REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports directly to the Branch Manager or Operations Supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficient in basic mathematics and computer operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and management.
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Customer service orientation.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of Safety & Environmental training.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Technical certification and relevant prior experience are advantageous.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This role operates within an industrial warehouse setting. Candidates must be capable of lifting weights up to 75 pounds and performing various physical tasks. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime.
