Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Family Services Specialist to join our team at Methodist Home for Children.

About the Role

This position plays a vital role in strengthening families and empowering youth through critical services that ensure successful reunification and adjustment post-program.

  • Provide family engagement services, actively involving families in the care and treatment of their child.
  • Offer parenting skills support and coaching to strengthen family dynamics.
  • Create and manage personalized service plans for each youth.
  • Offer aftercare support for up to six months post-discharge to promote stability.

The ideal candidate will excel in high-pressure, high-stress environments and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications
  • Age & Education: Must be 21+ with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with families; experience with the target population preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and ability to complete all required training (CPR, First Aid, physical restraint, medication administration, etc.).
