Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers in examination and treatment of patients by performing various duties, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and documenting medical records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, allergies, and medications.
  • Conduct point-of-care tests and procedures as authorized by state regulations and provider orders.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment by disinfecting treatment rooms and maintaining inventory of medical supplies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being attentive, cooperative, and respectful to patients, visitors, and colleagues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited healthcare program, such as Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT, or equivalent work experience.
  • Maintain certifications per state guidelines.
  • Nationally recognized as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in OBGYN or similar healthcare setting.
  • Athenahealth practice management system experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
