Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team at GYL. As an integral part of our financial operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of billing and invoicing processes.

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable roles, preferably in a professional services or CPA firm. Proficiency in billing software, such as QuickBooks or CCH Practice Management, is required. Additionally, excellent organizational and time-management skills, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for this role.

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Invoicing & Billing:
    • Generate, review, and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
    • Ensure accuracy in billing amounts, client information, and terms of service.
    • Resolve discrepancies or issues related to billing and invoicing.
  2. Accounts Receivable Management:
    • Track and manage incoming payments and apply them to the correct accounts.
    • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.
    • Send reminders and statements to clients regarding outstanding balances.
  3. Daily Time Entry Monitoring:
    • Confirm that all employees have entered their time daily in CCH Practice Management.
    • Identify missing or incomplete time entries and follow up with staff to ensure completion.
    • Ensure time entries are accurately categorized with correct client, project, and task codes.
  4. Record-Keeping & Reporting:
    • Mastery of CCH Practice Management's reporting tools, dashboards, and report templates.
    • Ability to customize, filter, and sort data fields to create tailored reports.
