Position Overview:

The role of the International Trade Compliance Specialist is crucial in managing our export and import compliance initiatives. This position ensures adherence to all regulatory standards and provides oversight across various departments to maintain effective compliance controls. You will play a key role in developing the trade compliance program and will be responsible for training new employees as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply regulations such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to provide guidance on international shipments.
  • Manage export licenses and agreements, ensuring compliance with US government regulations.
  • Prepare and oversee export authorizations, including ITAR licenses and exemptions.
  • Coordinate the review and submission of government application requests.
  • Conduct audits and maintain compliance performance metrics.
  • Review and approve applications for export/import licenses or permits.
  • Advise leadership on trade compliance risks associated with business decisions.
  • Stay updated on changes in export and import regulations and analyze their implications.
  • Review internal controls and procedures to ensure they remain compliant and effective.
  • Perform audits of trade compliance policies and provide updates on program effectiveness.
