Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Spine team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for facilitating the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures, preparing the operating suite, and assisting the surgeon during surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating suite with sterile drapes, solutions, and instruments
  • Assist the surgeon during surgery, handing instruments and supplies as needed
  • Prepare, transport, position, and drape patients for surgery
  • Maintain instruments in an organized manner and track counts throughout procedures
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • Surgical Tech certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree
