Qualifications:- Possession of a Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 2 years of experience following residency
- Valid medical license to practice in any state within the United States
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Must be a citizen of the United States
Physicians will be scheduled for 6-8 weeks of day/evening shifts for every 2 weeks of night shifts, with weekends assigned every fourth week. The maximum work hours will not exceed 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:- Engage in direct patient care within the Emergency Department for 90% of the time
- Conduct major medical procedures
- Stabilize and transfer patients as necessary
- Review inpatient admissions
- Handle consultation and referral duties
- Apply orthopedic devices
- Provide education upon patient discharge
- Allocate 10% of time to administrative responsibilities
