Position Overview

Reporting to the Service Director and Real Estate Manager, this position involves a variety of maintenance tasks aimed at enhancing the living experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Duties:

  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and cleaning services as directed.
  • Assist in managing the maintenance storage area and inventory of supplies.
  • Oversee the refurbishment and renovation of residential units in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Perform daily property walkthroughs to maintain high standards of curb appeal and property condition.
  • Report any safety issues to the Business Manager and engage in safety training sessions.
  • Maintain awareness of property-specific hazards and regulations.
  • Support snow removal efforts as necessary.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
  • Keep detailed records of all completed maintenance activities.

Customer Engagement:

  • Address all service requests promptly and in line with company protocols.
  • Be available for weekend shifts, on-call responsibilities, and emergency service requests, ensuring coverage 24/7 as scheduled.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • CFC Type I & II certification is preferred, with a requirement to obtain within 180 days of hire.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Physical capability to navigate the property, including walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 60 lbs., and performing various physical tasks such as bending and kneeling.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to effectively complete maintenance assessments in line with the expectations of a Maintenance Specialist.
