Facility Director Opportunity

The right candidate will have a background rooted in MEP with hands-on experience turning wrenches and having grown into a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of division managers and administrative staff.
  • Assess and oversee the campus infrastructure, including building maintenance, custodial services, and groundskeeping.
  • Coordinate small project work and forecast long-term capital improvements for the campus.
  • Manage personnel matters such as annual reviews, disciplinary actions, payroll, and attendance.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors for services such as preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain the budget, processing invoices and expenses efficiently.
  • Remain available for after-hours emergencies, ensuring prompt and effective responses.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years' experience as a facilities manager, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Proficiency in building maintenance and facilities management.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to work flexible hours, including nights, days, and weekends as needed.
