Job Overview

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a skilled Welder - Level 1 to join our team in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating TIG Welding, Spot Welding, and Laser Welding or Automatic Welding equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate TIG Welding, Spot Welding, Laser Welding or Automatic Welding equipment to produce high-quality machined parts.
  • Perform rework and development hardware as required to meet engineering specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable documentation of production processes and quality control measures.
  • Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, and other irregularities from welded parts to ensure they meet engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements.
  • Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specification and ensure accurate and reliable records are maintained.
  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated to ensure optimal performance.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the cell to meet production demands.
  • Adhere to all safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
  • Manufacture and/or test parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
  • Supports and/or trains in other assembly areas as requested by Lead/Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Minimum 12-24 months of related experience in welding or demonstrated proficiency.
  • Experience in an aerospace environment is preferred.
