About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ALS Instructor to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As an ALS Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Life Support (ALS) courses to healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach ALS courses to healthcare professionals, adapting your teaching style to meet the needs of your students.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of ALS protocols and procedures.
  • Travel to off-site course locations within the communities served by Hackensack Meridian Health.
  • Ensure the security of Training Center equipment and maintain a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Participate in instructor meetings and updates, and contribute to the development of educational materials.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Requirements
  • Current American Heart Association ALS Instructor Certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and clinical experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds, push and pull a minimum of 45 pounds, and stand for a minimum of 1 hour per day.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an emergency, critical care, or field setting.
  • Prior educator/instructor experience.
  • Prior instructor experience in ALS, ACLS, or PALS education.
