Position Summary:
The EHS Specialist will play a crucial role in fostering a robust environment, health, and safety culture at our manufacturing site. This position involves a diverse range of responsibilities across multiple shifts in a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • EHS Standards & Management:
    Assist in the implementation of EHS standards and site-specific procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate requirements. Contribute to the development of EHS components, risk assessments, and training materials.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Ensure all safety and environmental risk recommendations are documented and completed. Maintain comprehensive records of regulatory compliance and safety statistics.
  • Training & Support:
    Act as a resource for site management on EHS matters, providing guidance on compliance and safety standards. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee understanding of EHS principles.
  • Compliance Programs:
    Oversee risk identification and mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain safety and health standards.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to enhance EHS programs and drive operational excellence. Evaluate new technologies and processes to minimize workplace hazards.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and effective project management skills are essential.
