Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential therapy services to students with communication disorders.
About the Role:This is a contract position that requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in speech therapy. Your responsibilities will include assisting in assessments, implementing therapy interventions, facilitating group sessions, and documenting progress under the supervision of a licensed SLP. You will play a crucial role in helping students improve their communication skills and succeed academically.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Texas
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of speech and language development in children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
