Job OverviewThis role involves collecting blood and other specimens from patients at our hospital and outpatient facilities, providing administrative support to technical staff, and upholding exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood and other specimens from patients at our hospital and outpatient facilities
- Provide administrative assistance to technical staff, as required
- Manage patient and specimen registration, reception of outpatients, and data entry into our laboratory information system
- Obtain BLS certification through the American Heart Association within one month of employment
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; a phlebotomy training course is highly recommended
- Possess six months of relevant patient care experience
- Knowledge of medical information and laboratory safety principles
- Effective communication skills for sharing patient information with healthcare professionals and staff
- Able to serve as a clinical laboratory resource to diverse groups
