Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled accountant to join our corporate finance team. Reporting directly to the Senior Financial Controller, this role will encompass a variety of accounting responsibilities for our global operations. The ideal candidate will actively participate in the month-end closing process, ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, enhance existing accounting practices, and contribute to the overall success of the finance department. This position provides an excellent opportunity for the right individual to gain comprehensive accounting experience and advance their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in month-end closing activities for the global entity, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and timely completion of account reconciliations.
  • Execute daily accounting tasks, such as posting entries, performing reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Take ownership of specific accounting functions, including lease and fixed asset accounting, intangible assets, and payroll.
  • Maintain accurate records for fixed assets, leases, and intangible assets.
  • Conduct thorough weekly and monthly P&L analyses of Fixed Plant Costs and SG&A expenses.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and other relevant information clearly to senior management and auditors.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset to enhance the integrity of financial records and reporting.
  • Perform data analysis and generate insightful reports using both micro and macro-level data.
  • Support external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax filings.
  • Collaborate with team members across the accounting department and other functional areas.
  • Undertake special projects and ad hoc requests as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation.
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting with a proven track record of accomplishments.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and familiarity with financial statements.
  • Experience in fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, and intangible assets.
  • Proficient in conducting P&L analyses of fixed plant costs and SG&A expenses.
  • High standards of integrity, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Macros).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and leverage automation for efficiency.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • A quick learner who adapts to new processes with minimal guidance.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to professional growth.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with IFS is preferred.
  • Familiarity with international accounting practices, particularly in Europe, is a plus.
