Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Renewable Energy Technician for our operations in West Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in foundational tasks related to the construction and upkeep of substations, transmission lines, collection systems, and battery energy storage systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and solutions for protection and control equipment, as well as relay configurations.
  • Coordinate emergency responses and repairs for all high voltage apparatus and battery energy storage systems.
  • Establish and manage high voltage inventory, equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Oversee operations and construction of Balance of Plant (BOP), including substation and battery energy storage equipment.
  • Complete Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training and demonstrate proficiency.
  • Ensure the facility operates in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Assist with emergency response during after-hours call-outs.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and landowners.
  • Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret high voltage electrical schematics.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations as well as market requirements.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in high voltage electrical work.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and their application.
  • Proficient in computer operations, including internet-based program navigation and data interpretation.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics with a keen attention to detail.
  • Commitment to following safety protocols on-site.
  • Effective communication skills with third parties, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Strong written communication abilities.
Physical Requirements

In performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. The employee frequently uses hands or fingers to handle tools or controls. The role requires standing, walking, sitting, reaching with hands and arms, pulling/pushing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
