EKG Cardiology Technician

The EKG Cardiology Technician is responsible for conducting non-invasive diagnostic cardiology assessments across all age groups, from infants to adults, as directed by a physician. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, accurately recording their responses, identifying and classifying arrhythmias for physician interpretation, and promptly notifying the physician of any abnormalities observed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients for cardiology procedures and ensuring comfort during the process.
- Conducting EKG tests and interpreting results for further analysis.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient responses and arrhythmias.
- Performing general administrative duties as assigned.
The technician must possess the ability to observe and gather pertinent information, understand the spectrum of cardiac testing required for each patient, and communicate significant findings to healthcare providers to guarantee appropriate patient care.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- EKG Certification.
- CPR Certification from AHA Healthcare Provider.
