  • Develop and maintain CNC programming for milling and turning operations, utilizing 2D schematics and 3D models
  • Design and specify component setups, creating custom fixtures as necessary
  • Enhance manufacturing processes through innovation and assess existing methods for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Support the machine shop, manufacturing, and engineering departments with technical expertise
  • Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to machinists
  • Determine tooling requirements, evaluate new tools, and coordinate with tooling suppliers
  • Occasionally operate CNC machinery as needed
  • Provide quotes for external contract machining work
  • Assist vendors with machining processes and tooling solutions
  • Require a minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC programming, machining, tool and fixture design, and process improvement
  • Demonstrate proficiency in machining techniques, cutting tools, work-holding methods, and part setups
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings for CNC program creation
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Prints and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for machining tasks
  • Familiar with CNC machine setup and operational procedures
  • Capable of working independently and efficiently
  • A strong team player, committed to meeting production goals and deadlines
  • Able to collaborate and solve problems effectively within manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable spending extended periods at a computer in an office environment
  • Able to handle tooling that may weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Prior experience with GibbsCam is a plus
  • Knowledgeable in working with steel, ductile cast components, and large part machining
