Key Responsibilities
  • Baking: Prepare a variety of baked goods following our established standards and specifications. Ensure all items are properly labeled and dated, adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Presentation: Organize and maintain attractive display cases using effective merchandising techniques. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to set up samples and seasonal displays.
  • Sanitation: Uphold rigorous cleanliness standards in the kitchen and storage areas. Responsible for the sanitation of all baking equipment, utensils, and display items.
  • Food Preparation: Accurately portion and prepare food items according to specified recipes, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Inventory Management: Implement FIFO (first in, first out) standards when managing food items.
  • Team Support: Assist fellow team members in food preparation and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with management and team members regarding any issues or suggestions for improvement.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
  • Must possess good vision and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions typical of a kitchen environment.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Supervision
Receives guidance and training from the Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty regarding specific tasks and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of sanitation, safety, and customer service principles will be provided through in-house training. No prior experience is required.
