Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Treatment Plans: Work under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor to implement prescribers' treatment plans and coordinate quality medication services to clients.
  • Ensure Compliance: Adhere to agency compliance in regard to all state and federal standards.
  • Perform Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Pharmacological Management: Provide coordination and/or implementation in regard to pharmacological management services, serving as a liaison to provide multi-levels of medical/acute psychiatric care.
  • Nursing Assessments: Ensure that all initial nursing assessments are completed in a timely manner, per agency policy and state standards.
  • Infection Control: Coordinate agency response to any infection control issue(s).
  • Meetings and Trainings: Attend meetings and trainings regularly scheduled by the agency.
  • Lab Monitoring: Monitor all labs ordered, PCP Letters, and obtain information from prior services for quality care in pharmacological management services.
  • Consultations: Maintain regular, on-going contact with appropriate medical and psychiatric consultants in regard to clients' and patients' individual clinical issues.
  • EHR Navigation: Adequate knowledge and ability to navigate the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  • Additional Duties: Perform such other duties as directed by the Nursing Supervisor.
Qualifications
  • LPN or RN: LPN or Registered Nurse licensure required.
  • Ohio Nursing License: Ohio Nursing License required.
  • Experience: Three years working in a nursing setting preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interact in a pleasant and professional manner with other employees, physicians, providers, patients, and patients' families to promote a team effort through cooperation and respect for fellow employees.
  • Organizational Skills: Organizational skills, writing, speaking clearly, answering telephone, fine dexterity, handling and gripping.
  • Cognitive Abilities: Calculating, interpreting information, analyzing, assessing, evaluating, explaining, teaching, attention to detail, memory, and reasoning.
  • Supervision: Work supervision by nursing supervisor. Clinical supervision to comply with applicable state licensing board, if applicable.
  • Knowledge and Understanding: Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of agency policies regarding medication and somatic issues.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to ensure an effective working relationship with all levels of staff and clients.
