Job Responsibilities

As a Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care to a variable patient population. Your duties may include:

  • Initiating, performing, and completing assigned duties in providing care to patients
  • Completing assigned patient care based on the patient's condition, using judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments
  • Observing, identifying, and responding to the patient's needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education
  • Preparing and administering prescribed medications and performing treatments according to established policies/procedures
  • Recognizing urgent or emergent patient care situations and initiating appropriate emergency interventions as directed
  • Performing support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures
  • Orienting peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an LVN/LPN after graduation
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a LVN/LPN from any state
  • Life Support Certification: Possess a current AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Security: Must possess the ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance
Pay Scale

$24.69/hr - $28/hr, to be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location
