**Job Summary**

Axient is seeking a highly skilled sUAS Pilot/Fabricator to join our team at The Dale Reed Subscale Flight research Lab at NASAs Armstrong Flight Research Center.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Integration, operation, and maintenance of a fleet of sUAS up to 330 lbs.
  • Developing checklists and procedures, giving briefs and airworthiness approvals.
  • Design and fabrication of parts and airframes.
  • Performing (small) unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) flight operations, flight operations support, and sUAS engineering technical (design/analysis/engineering) duties.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the field.
  • Must be a US citizen and eligible for a clearance.
  • Above average fixed wing piloting skills.
  • Prior UAS experience integration, operation, and ground control desired.
  • Composite construction, hollow molding, plug making, vacuum bagging, etc.
  • CAD and solid modeling desired.
  • Mechanical or Aero degree a plus.
  • FAA Part 107 a plus.
