Job Description

The Skier Services department at Westgate Resorts offers a comprehensive ski and snowboard equipment valet service for our guests throughout the ski season. As the Skier Services Manager, you will serve as the ambassador for Skier Services and the resort, responsible for managing the overall performance of the Skier Services department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hiring and Training: Manage the hiring, training, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations of team members.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Execute supervisory responsibilities in line with organizational policies and applicable laws.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure that staff accurately record comprehensive phone messages for Skier Services team and maintain a shift logbook documenting all daily check-ins of equipment.
  • Check-in and Check-out Processes: Facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes and coordinate daily duties for support staff.
  • Schedule Management: Oversee the final output of the schedule and foster interdepartmental communication to ensure accurate information is relayed throughout the resort.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve departmental issues, providing assistance in resolving matters for other Guest Service departments, and address and resolve guest concerns effectively.

Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift to ski and snowboard equipment.
  • Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner.
