About this Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software professional to join our team as a Principal Engineer. This is a leadership position that requires collaboration with other principal engineers, lead engineers, and senior managers on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop resilient systems within the Home Lending area, leveraging expertise in complex monolithic and microservice systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to engineers with complex problems, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Participate in business continuity, production incident analysis, and cloud migrations, driving innovation and improvement in our technical capabilities.
  • Act as an advisor to leadership, developing and influencing applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs.
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions that require vision, creativity, and innovation.
  • Translate advanced technology experience and in-depth knowledge of the organization's tactical and strategic business objectives into technical engineering solutions.
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies, recommending innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise, serving as an expert advisor to leadership.
Requirements
  • 14+ years of engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications
  • Expertise with CORE application is a plus.
  • Prior work experience demonstrating migration from monolith to microservices.
  • Angular experience is a plus.
  • Strong background in CI/CD and delivery items & different deployment patterns.
  • Strong in Architectural patterns.
  • Cultural ambassador and ability to work with all team members in a friendly manner.
Job Expectations
  • Work on system teams and bridge gap with principal engineers in Originations, improving application design in the short and long term.
  • Be able to multi-task and work calmly in stressful situations.
