Role Summary:
The Healthcare Services Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating patient visits and facilitating communication among field staff, patients, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery. This position also supports daily office operations and staff management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient schedules, adjusting for staff absences and ensuring timely reassignment of visits.
  • Initiate and maintain infection control documentation as required.
  • Provide backup support during peak times, including handling calls from field staff and assisting with case conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of client hospitalizations and coordination notes.
  • Complete scheduling tasks as they arise, ensuring all necessary visits are arranged.
  • Prepare weekly staff schedules and conduct initial reviews for efficiency and geographical considerations.
  • Assist with patient transfers between different service branches as needed.
  • If applicable, receive and assess lab reports, coordinating with medical staff as necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a Licensed Professional Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the relevant state, or possess a minimum of one year of home health experience.
  • Prior experience in quality improvement or packet review is preferred.
  • Coding certification is an advantage.
  • Valid state driver's license and automobile liability insurance are required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse population are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities are necessary for success in this role.
