About the Role

The Siri team at Apple is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to contribute to the development and shipping of innovative technology. As a Data Science Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing Siri's capabilities through the application of machine learning methods and statistical analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design data-processing pipelines, evaluate code, and participate in code reviews. Strong software engineering skills and a passion for applied machine learning are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist on the team, you will be responsible for data exploration, advanced statistical modeling, and the evaluation of deep learning models. You will apply innovative approaches to continually advance Siri's performance and work on novel problems. You will also have the opportunity to shape system architecture and collaborate with diverse teams.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with handling large datasets and creating data processing pipelines is essential. You should also have strong background in Python development and experience using Python for data science work. Proficiency in data processing frameworks such as Numpy and Pandas is required. Excellent communication skills, including strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, are also necessary. A Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in creating and maintaining large-scale, robust machine learning processes for use in a multi-person team is a plus. Shipping and improving machine learning models in a production environment and developing data analytics pipelines for natural language understanding or digital assistants are also desired skills.
