Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our team at a correctional facility in Pikeville, TN. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will provide essential social work intervention, counseling, and crisis intervention to patients/clients with social or emotional problems.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient's psychosocial needs and develop plans to meet established goals
- Counsel individuals and families in crisis, addressing issues such as poverty, loss, and illness
- Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient/client
- Facilitate patient/client and family referrals to community agencies when appropriate
- Provide financial counseling to achieve treatment goals
- Respond to crisis situations, including domestic violence and child abuse
- May be required to provide witness services and evidence in court cases
- Visit schools to assess academic concerns
- Work with government agencies to help clients apply for Medicare and Medicaid
- Arrange home visits to evaluate patient/client health, home environment, and family interaction/support
- Assist patient/family/caregivers in planning for present and future psychosocial needs
- Report patient progress and/or changes in patient status to physician and multi-disciplinary team members
- Masters degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education
- Active license as an LCSW in the state of practice
- Minimum of one year of social work experience
- Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Participation and completion of Amergis Competency program when applicable
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Must be at least 18 years of age
