About the Role:

This position works closely with the branch manager to achieve branch- and Bank-established goals. The assistant branch manager manages a team responsible for exceptional customer service, operational soundness, and generating revenue for the branch and Bank. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a backup to the personal banking team to open new accounts, receive loan requests, and gather credit-related information.
  • Ensuring the branch is operationally sound.
  • Ensuring client service specialists are trained and competent in explaining all products and services offered.
  • Monitoring sales and service goals.
  • Processing and overseeing technical tasks such as opening and closing the branch, overdraft monitoring, wire transfers, and collections.
  • Routinely providing guidance and training to the branch team.
  • Resolving conflicts with minimal help.
  • May back up new accounts and client service specialist lines.
  • Responsible for satisfactory audits.
  • Frequently servicing complex accounts.
  • Actively coaching and mentoring the team to deepen customer relations.
  • Working with the branch manager to identify business development opportunities.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.


About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in retail banking and management. Key qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of retail banking experience or equivalent transferrable skills and experience.
  • Some management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and any banking software used in the branch.
  • Training and mentoring skills.
  • Customer-focused service and sales skills.
  • Understanding of consumer and small business lending.
  • Overall knowledge of bank operations.
  • Previous client service specialist experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Bilingual, preferred.


Workstyle: Fully onsite.

The pay range for this role is $26.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
