Destination Pet LLC is a pioneering pet care company that has revolutionized the industry with its commitment to creating a connected care network for pet families. We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Pawprints of Vero Beach.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in customer service or retail sales experience. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of Destination Pet by providing exceptional customer service and promoting the services and products of the facility.
  • Tours prospective clients and visitors through the facility, showcasing the unique benefits of our pet care services.
  • Answers telephone calls, receives, and provides information according to established procedures, ensuring seamless communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Welcome clients and pet guests, verifying their vaccination records and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Manage cash transactions, including accepting payments for services and maintaining an accurate end-of-day cash drawer balance.
  • Explain company policies to customers in a positive and clear manner, resolving any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Escorts pet guests to and from their enclosures, providing water as needed, and ensures their comfort and well-being.
  • Operates the Point-of-Sale system efficiently, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the lobby and other public areas, upholding the high standards of Destination Pet.
  • Completes all required training sessions and attends assigned training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Treats customers, guests, visitors, and colleagues with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.
  • Assists other associates as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in customer service or retail sales experience
  • Ability to resolve problems quickly and professionally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service experience a plus
  • Excellent telephone skills
  • Ability to utilize a multi-line phone system and work on a computer system
  • Displays a professional demeanor at all times

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must frequently lift 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
  • Must be able to handle dogs on leashes
  • Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions

Salary Range: $14 - $15/hour DOE.
