Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team in the Emergency Room at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. As a Psychiatrist in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our psychiatric services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive and ongoing mental health assessments, formulating treatment plans, initiating treatment, and managing psychiatric and medical issues of all patients.
- Make sound judgment with regard to disposition planning.
- Conduct morning and evening rounds and provide clinical teaching.
- Oversee patient flow issues, manage the whiteboard, and assign cases to be seen.
- Supervise resident and student cases with feedback given on interview techniques, assessments, treatment plans, and documentation.
- Manage inter-disciplinary team issues that affect clinical care of patients.
- Document incidents in conjunction with nursing.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Attending Psychiatrist.
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine.
- Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry.
- License to practice medicine in the State of New York.
- Proven ability to make sound and quick triage, treatment, and disposition decisions.

- Annual Base Salary Range: $236,900 - $247,200.
