ResponsibilitiesMedical Lab Technician:
- Perform, evaluate, record, and report clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of patients on a variety of body fluids and biologic specimens.
- Recognize problems and/or potential problems within the assigned section regarding instruments, computers, and inventories.
- Display sound, supportive, and independent judgment to resolve issues equitably.
Medical Lab Technologist:
- Perform, evaluate, record, and report clinical laboratory tests used in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of patients on a variety of body fluids and biologic specimens.
- Recognize problems and/or potential problems within the assigned section regarding instruments, computers, and inventories.
- Display sound, supportive, and independent judgment to resolve issues in the absence of a supervisor.
Medical Lab Technician:
- A.A.S. degree in Medical Technology.
- Experience preferred, but new graduates of approved Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Programs will be considered.
- ASCP preferred. NYS MLT license or eligible required.
Medical Lab Technologist:
- B.S. degree in Medical Technology or related science.
- Experience preferred, but new graduates of approved Medical Technology Programs will be considered.
- ASCP preferred. NYS MT license or eligible required.
