Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with patients as a healthcare provider, monitoring their flow and delivering routine medical care.
- Handle blood draws, injections, EKGs, vitals, drug screens, and other medical procedures.
- Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and performing required testing.
- Provide assistance during examinations and treatment, and perform ancillary testing and tasks as directed by the Center Medical Director.
- Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform front office duties, including greeting patients, obtaining authorization, check-in/check-out, and communication of wait times.
- Work with leading edge technologies and continuously advance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Prefer applicants who are conversationally fluent, can read and write in both English and Spanish.
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
- Previous medical office experience.
