Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) is advantageous.
  • Additional coursework in Business Administration, Public Relations, Accounting, School Finance, Personnel Management, and Communication is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee construction initiatives and ensure effective management.
  • Address project-related challenges and conflicts.
  • Evaluate the progress of construction projects and manage change orders.
  • Assist in the planning of bids and contracts.
  • Guide on cost management, quality assurance, and contract oversight.
  • Coordinate program activities across various organizational sectors.
  • Assess and recommend internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

  • A minimum of 17 years in professional project or construction management.
  • Experience in managing extensive programs with projects exceeding $25 million.
  • Background in educational facility construction, public works, or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with Design Build and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
  • Understanding of Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design protocols.
