Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Certification as a Construction Manager (CCM) is advantageous.
- Additional coursework in Business Administration, Public Relations, Accounting, School Finance, Personnel Management, and Communication is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee construction initiatives and ensure effective management.
- Address project-related challenges and conflicts.
- Evaluate the progress of construction projects and manage change orders.
- Assist in the planning of bids and contracts.
- Guide on cost management, quality assurance, and contract oversight.
- Coordinate program activities across various organizational sectors.
- Assess and recommend internal policies and procedures.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Preferred Experience:
- A minimum of 17 years in professional project or construction management.
- Experience in managing extensive programs with projects exceeding $25 million.
- Background in educational facility construction, public works, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Familiarity with Design Build and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
- Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS).
- Understanding of Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design protocols.
