Procurement Specialist

Zenith Aviation, Inc., a prominent entity in the Aerospace Logistics sector, is on the lookout for a Procurement Specialist.

The selected candidate will undertake moderate to intricate procurement tasks in alignment with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR), company protocols, and Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) standards.

The individual must possess the capability to evaluate purchase requisitions, initiate Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), assess bids, negotiate terms and conditions, pricing of materials, and select suppliers in compliance with government regulations and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire materials of a sophisticated nature based on specific program requirements and specifications.
• Develop purchase orders in accordance with technical specifications, requirements, work statements, and terms and conditions.
• Implement sourcing strategies adhering to FAR, DFAR, and CPSR guidelines.
• Oversee suppliers throughout all stages of the purchasing lifecycle, promptly addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and engaging in fact-finding and technical evaluations.
• Engage in pricing negotiations to secure optimal value and ensure compliance with procurement regulations and cost/price analysis.
• Negotiate specific terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, quality, and performance expectations.
• Create and maintain purchase files for review; prepare, award, and manage resulting purchase orders.
• Negotiate all amendments to purchase orders.
• Adhere to established procurement policies and procedures to ensure optimal value while maintaining quality standards and fostering positive supplier relationships.
• Maintain historical records and compliant documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate strong supplier relationships.
• Exhibit the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively; must prioritize, drive issues to resolution, and demonstrate assertiveness when necessary, while exercising discretion in all duties.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience, with prior exposure to Federal prime contracts preferred.
• Experience with SAP is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations and standard commercial procurement practices.
• Experience in purchasing across diverse commodities.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive information, adhering to high standards of confidentiality and integrity.
