We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) who will be instrumental in defining and steering intricate, cross-functional feature sets.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of developing and launching groundbreaking technologies, particularly in the realms of Mixed Reality (MR), Virtual Reality (VR), and cloud computing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate programs in undefined areas, managing multiple interdependencies across teams.
- Comprehend technology requirements, roadmaps, dependencies, and evolution, while formulating strategies to mitigate risks and deliver features that align with multiple products.
- Exhibit comprehensive ownership and thought leadership across various teams, influencing program direction and planning.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management leadership to define and refine the long-term strategy for the organization.
- Establish expertise in specific areas, becoming the primary escalation point for execution, driving visibility across the program, and orchestrating integration within your program area.
- Champion technical excellence within the team, coordinating and contributing to engineering deliverables, including architectural diagrams, specifications, launch criteria, and testing plans.
- Provide hands-on program management throughout analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases.
- Become a trusted partner for leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute complex deliverables.
- Work collaboratively to establish best practices and development processes in a rapidly evolving environment, driving impact through the deployment of key initiatives and fostering adoption of those processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of experience as a program manager, leading complex hardware and/or software development initiatives.
- Experience in delivering technical programs or products from inception to completion.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with large-scale systems.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, translating high-level objectives into actionable plans for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience operating independently across multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating thought leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in executing highly ambiguous, complex products and programs, with the ability to make technical and product trade-offs balancing business needs and technical constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in delivering cloud services, particularly in relation to consumer devices and experiences.
- Experience in delivering software features and/or services related to Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, and/or Augmented Reality.
- Experience in developing and launching AR/VR/MR software on AOSP or custom operating systems.
