About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our team at Fred Beans Automotive Group. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for handling legal transfer documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Vehicle Registrations: Timely and accurately process new and used vehicle registrations in the state they will be titled, ensuring compliance with state guidelines.
  • Prepare and Submit Documents: Prepare tax and title documents, ensuring all information is accurate and complete, and submit them to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Verify and Process Payments: Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing, and purchase temporary vehicle tags as needed.
  • Maintain Title and Inventory Systems: Maintain a system to verify titles and title company inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Resolve Customer Issues: Resolve issues with customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Regulations: Stay current with all title regulations and PennDOT training, and relay any changes to all sales personnel.

Requirements
  • Detail-Oriented: Possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of Invoice Style Billing: Have a solid understanding of invoice style billing and be able to communicate effectively with customers.
  • Verbal and Written Communication: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Automotive Title Clerk Experience: 2+ years of experience in an automotive title clerk role, preferred.
