Position Overview

Fresh Produce Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assign duties to the Produce team.
  • Collaborate with the Produce Manager to train staff and cultivate a high-performing team.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring comprehensive training.
  • Ensure all product displays are maintained in a clean and organized manner.
  • Manage the opening and closing procedures of the department.
  • Address team inquiries and maintain communication with the Department Manager.
  • Establish and meet retail execution benchmarks.
  • Encourage team spirit and promote a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Mentor and develop team members to sustain high performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and facilitate company communications.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Produce operations, strong organizational skills, and customer service aptitude.
  • Proven teaching and leadership capabilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and financial oversight.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and retail management.
  • A minimum of 12 months of prior retail experience.

Physical Demands

  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on feet for 6-8 hours.
  • Manual dexterity and coordination skills.
  • Ability to work with cleaning agents and in cooler environments.
  • Proficient use of tools and equipment.

Work Schedule and Benefits
