Patient Safety Monitor

At REHAB HOSPITAL OF THE PACIFIC, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Observer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
Job Summary:The Patient Safety Observer will provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients, identifying and addressing potential safety risks. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients
- Identify and address potential safety risks
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Support the establishment of a safe environment by performing temperature screenings
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
- Proficient in computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office and/or Google)
- Ability to learn new software
- Must be able to maintain a viable work schedule to meet department needs
- Current BLS certification
- Previous video monitoring, surveillance and/or patient care experience
- Familiarity with standard hospital procedures
