About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Engineer to lead our RF Module Design team at Skyworks Solutions. As a key member of our high-performance RF team, you will be responsible for designing and developing best-in-class RF front-end modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and take ownership of RF front-end module design and development, ensuring high-performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of microwave engineering and RFIC design principles to steer PA, LNA, filter, and laminate design tapeouts.
  • Develop high-accuracy simulation benches using design tools such as ADS, HFSS, or Cadence.
  • Design and develop high-isolation laminate layouts to meet high-density component module requirements.
  • Participate in and conduct design review meetings to ensure high-quality design solutions.
Requirements
  • BS degree with 15+ years of experience in Microwave Engineering, RFIC Design, Electromagnetics, or related Electrical Engineering fields; or MS with 12+ years of experience; or PhD with 8+ years of experience.
  • Proven RFFE product development and leadership experience, including product launch and ramp.
  • Practical experience with lab measurements and characterization equipment.
  • Experiences with EM and circuit simulation tools such as HFSS, ADS, Cadence, etc.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and technology, such as HBT, FET, CMOS, SOI, etc.
  • Knowledge of RF switch design, power amplifier design, and communication standards such as 5GNR, LTE-A, WiFi, and associated standards.
