Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Assistant I to join our team at St. Luke's Health–Sugar Land Hospital. As a Nutrition Assistant I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency and regulatory compliance of our nutrition support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production.
  • Train new and existing employees to follow departmental policies and procedures.
  • Oversee food preparation and service to ensure the guidelines of menu and dietary requirements are met.
  • Assist team members in applying organizational procedures and protocols to reduce the occurrence of errors related to dietary guidelines.
  • Assess training progress and provide constructive feedback for improved performance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of food service experience; including two (2) years hospital nutrition experience.
  • A Food Handlers Permit is required as outlined below:

Compensation

$13.41/hour
