Position Summary

The role involves executing all tasks related to the Packing operations within the Ransburg Department.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Confirming the accuracy of rail profiles and quantities required for production.
  2. Overseeing the functionality of packing materials and equipment on the Ransburg line.
  3. Conducting visual inspections of painted rails for defects and identifying out-of-spec materials.
  4. Providing support to other roles on the Ransburg line as needed to fulfill production demands, which may involve assisting painters, hanging/unhanging, or labeling/packaging goods.
  5. Generating necessary labels and identification tags for intermediate or finished products.
  6. Adhering to all ISO standards for quality production in the Ransburg Department.
  7. Engaging in 5-S and Lean Manufacturing principles relevant to the Ransburg Department.
  8. Assisting with changeovers, preparations, and minor repairs of the Ransburg for various products.
  9. Supporting or executing the hanging or unhanging of aluminum/steel extrusions on line hooks.
  10. Maintaining tools and equipment for preventive maintenance in the Ransburg operations.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications include:

  • Fundamental understanding of equipment and machinery operation.
  • Basic communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Elementary math skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Acceptable training and experience:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
