Job Title: Hardware Engineer

Meta is seeking a skilled Hardware Engineer to join our Compute Hardware team. Our mission is to design and develop cutting-edge hardware infrastructure that supports our massive computational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with local and remote teams to define product roadmaps and programs.
  • Design, develop, and validate CPU/GPU/ASIC based compute hardware solutions.
  • Lead the bring-up, validation, and launch of hardware systems.
  • Support hyper-scale deployment and obtain learning for next-generation design.
  • Collaborate with the open-source hardware community to drive innovation for large-scale infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Experience with development and bring-up of data center system equipment or complex consumer devices.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering Degree, with 3+ years of industry experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in working with peers.
  • 3+ years of experience with PCB design, including integrated and discrete circuits, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Experience with analyzing and resolving system hardware issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with end-to-end enabling, design, and deployment cycle of multiple generations of products.
  • M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience with owning and delivering a complete hardware enclosure as technical lead with other cross-functional teams in engineering, program, and operation.
  • Familiarity with server system architecture of one of major CPU/GPU suppliers.
  • Experience with design and troubleshooting data buses used in servers, such as PCIe, CXL, DDR, SAS, SATA, I2C.
  • Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for developing and reviewing PCB designs.
  • Experience with using high-speed scopes, logic analyzers, and other validation methods in validating and troubleshooting server data buses.
  • Knowledge of using Linux for hardware validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with working with thermal, mechanical, management firmware, system firmware, and software teams during product development.
  • Experience with designing ASIC verification and bring-up hardware.
Compensation:

$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
