Job Summary

This position provides a wide range of support services to Village Center residents, guests, and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of golf and tennis facilities, including restrooms, offices, and reception areas. The ideal candidate will provide a welcoming atmosphere that encourages residents and guests to have an enjoyable and safe experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and polish lighting fixtures to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Clean and maintain various areas, including kitchens, rooms/offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, showers, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, furniture, desktops, counters, and other work areas.
  • Sweep and mop floors, vacuum hallways, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate tile cleaning machines to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Dust furniture and equipment to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Polish metalwork to maintain a clean and polished appearance.
  • Clean windowsills and windows in doors to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays and keep them clean to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Replenish bathroom supplies to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Replace light bulbs to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Must be physically able to operate a golf cart to perform job duties.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • May be expected to perform additional duties in an emergency situation.

Minimum Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent; or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Florida Driver's License required.

All candidates and employees must successfully pass background screening.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures for golf and tennis facilities and offices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Equipment

Position regularly requires the use of a golf cart, cleaning equipment, including but not limited to, tile cleaning machines, brooms, mops, and vacuums.
